Job Summary: Provides general business and financial operations support to a department or group of professionals under general supervision. Makes moderately complex business process decisions requiring a comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of regulations, policies, procedures and business practices. Specific departments may provide additional guidance with a departmental position description.

Additional Summary Specific to Job: The School of Biomedical Informatics is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to perform the following tasks:

  1. Assists Finance personnel with the distribution of invoices to clients and collection of payments for services provided by SBMI.
  2. May assist with monthly account reconciliations and submission of various journal entries under the direction of Accounting manager.
  3. Assigned routine budget and financial responsibilities by supervisor including compilation of data for account balances and incentive forecasts. Maintains and reconciles financial records/reports. FMS training with a passing score is required.
  4. May serve as administrative liaison with others within and outside assigned areas regarding business and financial issues on purchasing, personnel, facilities and operations.
  5. Assists with various Human Resources activities including submission of JIQ's for analysis, internal and external posting of positions, scheduling candidate interviews, and ensuring smooth onboarding process.
  6. Regularly handles confidential information and sensitive issues and maintains organized personnel files.
  7. Assists with submission of Personnel Actions for the school.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree level of higher education in business related field required. Equivalent level of education and/or experience may substitute for education requirement.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
One (1) year related work experience required. Prior experience in finance, accounting, business administration or business management required.

Working knowledge of standard Office Software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required. Working knowledge of University financial systems is preferred

SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
