AI has been disrupting and changing many industries, including information access, communication, retail, manufacturing, agriculture, entertainment, travel, finance, and education. The seismic tremor of the AI Revolution is just beginning to impact the largest industry in the U.S., which accounts for nearly one-fifth of its GDP: Healthcare. With virtually unlimited potential, medical AI is rapidly evolving to produce many advanced clinical applications.
In “AI is to Medicine Today What the X-ray was to Medicine a Century Ago, and Much More…” Jiajie Zhang, UTHealth, recently noted: “Just as the X-ray machine invented more than a century ago enables doctors to see images of structures inside the human body, AI allows physicians to not only see, but predict, previously unidentified patterns within medical and biological data that can inform individualized disease prevention and care, as well as biomedical discovery.”
What’s next? The 2020 DeepTexas Medical AI Symposium
On April 23-24th, some of the best minds and most prominent thought leaders in technology and medicine will be assembled at The 2020 DeepTexas Medical AI Symposium to discuss the current state of medical AI and consider the possibilities and plan for future applications in clinical care and disease prevention.
