Happy Thanksgiving from SBMI
We want to wish everyone a happy and healthy Thanksgiving Holiday. Enjoy the cherished time with your family and friends as you reflect on the many reasons you are thankful.
SBMI offices will be closed on Nov. 24 and 25 for the holiday. Regular business hours will resume at 8 AM on Monday, Nov. 28.
SBMI Bragging Points
Several members of the SBMI Community have recently earned special recognition or contributed to the informatics community. We want to congratulate those individuals on these accomplishments.
Registration Exploration on November 29th
We invite all SBMI students to attend Registration Exploration on Tuesday, November 29th from 4:00 to 5:30 PM (CDT) via WebEx. SBMI Faculty & the Office of Academic Affairs will help students learn more about the courses offered for Spring 2023.
Instructors and Teaching Assistants will participate during the virtual event to answer questions about course curriculum, the syllabus, learning objectives, and more. SBMI staff will also be available to answer questions about degree plans for all programs. Register via this WebEx link.
Scholarship Opportunities for SBMI Students
The School of Biomedical Informatics (SBMI) offers scholarship opportunities to students enrolled in the school as funds become available. We are currently accepting applications for several scholarships to be awarded for the spring 2023 semester.
All SBMI students who are in good academic standing & enrolled for spring 2023 courses in a certificate, masters or doctoral program are eligible to apply.
The Student InterCouncil (SIC) is awarding six $1,000 scholarships to current UTHealth Houston students this year (two recipients for each scholarship). Visit the SIC scholarship opportunities webpage for more detailed information and to download application forms for each scholarship.
