Luke Rasmussen

Ph.D. Student

Bio: Luke Rasmussen is a Ph.D. student at the McWilliams School of Biomedical Informatics (MSBMI). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, and a Master of Science in Medical Informatics from Northwestern University School of Professional Studies. He has over 20 years of experience in software development, predominantly in the support of clinical and translational research with a focus on infrastructure and methods to enable the use of electronic health record (EHR) data for research purposes. His primary interest is in how research teams build and manage computational phenotyping algorithms (used to identify cohorts of patients), and how new methods and knowledge management strategies might be employed to streamline these processes.
