Associate Professor
Bio: Ming Huang, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at the Center for TEAM-AI. His current research focuses on AI and NLP methods for enhancing Clinical and Translational Research across various healthcare sectors, including mental health and consumer health. He has been involved in several NIH-funded projects, including leading AI and NLP efforts in an NIH R01 project focused on computational phenotyping and the Social Determinants of Health (SDoH) concerning mental health disorders. Dr. Huang is the site PI for an NIH R34 project targeting the identification of social media users with vaping-related negative outcomes and the intention to quit vaping. He has been part of NSF review panels, served as guest associate editor for Frontiers in AI and Frontiers in Big Data, and held the position of publication chair for IEEE ICHI.
