Data Scientist

Bio: Rui Li, Ph.D., is a data scientist at the Center for TEAM-AI. She finished her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University at Buffalo. Her research interest mainly resides in using deep learning techniques such as time-series representation learning and multi-modal representation learning to help to solve the prediction problems in healthcare, such as diagnosis prediction and mortality prediction. She is committed to utilizing external knowledge and real-world data to improve rare disease prediction and to infuse transparency into deep learning models. She is actively working towards building trustworthy and transparent models in the healthcare domain. She previously earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from Zhejiang University.
