Two postdoctoral research fellow positions are available in the Computational Cognitive Science Laboratory (C2SL) at the UTHealth School of Biomedical Informatics at Houston. Candidates will be expected to work on a newly funded DOD project related to cyber security. The goal of the project is to develop a biologically inspired computational account for human trust and suspicion behavior in cyberspace. A variety of backgrounds will be considered, including computer science (AI or security), mathematics/engineering, biomedical informatics, cognitive science/neuroscience, social sciences or related disciplines. Ideal candidates should be able to think about real-world problems in computational and quantitative terms and are self-motivated and eager to learn new ideas and techniques.
Essential skills include computer programming, computational cognitive modeling, cognitive neuroscience, experimental design and analysis, machine learning and neural networks. Candidates with an interdisciplinary background are preferred though candidates with a strong background in any single area will also be considered.
Salary: NIH post-doc salary scale
