Graduate Research Assistant Position in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genetics and Data Mining

Position Description:

Interested in precision health and pharmacogenomics? want to predict whether a drug will work for an individual patient and will it cause adverse reactions?

A graduate research fellow position is available in Dr. Assaf Gottlieb’s group in the Center for Precision Health at School of Biomedical Informatics, UTHealth. We use integrative computational approaches to study the therapeutic and adverse effects of drugs with a focus on pharmacogenomics. We seek highly motivated candidates who are interested in the following research areas: (1) Computational methods to model drug action to understand drug efficacy and drug safety; (2) Integrative approaches to study pharmacogenomics and (3) novel algorithms for causal inference from observational data. Our lab is particularly interested in translational research that within the domain of precision medicine.
