Students may obtain a student ID badge after registering for classes at no cost (payment of fees prior to obtaining a badge is not required).
New identification badges for students are processed at the UTHealth Parking Services Office located in the University Center Tower (UCT) at 7000 Fannin Street on the first floor by the guard desk. In order to obtain an ID badge, students are required to show a government-issued identification. Please visit the Parking Services Office for more information concerning hours of operation and contact information.
If a replacement ID badge is required for any reason, a $10.00 fee will be assessed.
ID badges should be worn at all times while on UTHealth owned property. They are required for entry into UTHealth owned buildings, functions, and shuttles. Badges also serve as library cards for the HAM-TMC Library (see Library Services for further information). You will also need an ID badge if you want to purchase software at one of the bookstores in the medical center.
To gain access to SBMI student areas, please send a legible copy of the front and the back of your ID badge to SBMIAcademics@uth.tmc.edu with the email subject, “Student ID Badge Access Request.”
Students living outside the Houston metro area can contact the Office of Academic Affairs at SBMIAcademics@uth.tmc.edu.
