ONC Site Visit for GET PHIT Program

On May 15 to 17, the Office of National Coordinator (ONC) performed a site visit for the Gaining Equity in Training for Public Health Informatics and Technology (GET PHIT) Program. The visit took place at the first GET PHIT summer bootcamp at Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) in Prairie View, TX. During the site visit, the ONC team learned about the great training opportunities the GET PHIT program is providing from the bootcamps to the internships at all eight of the consortium partner universities.

The ONC staff also observed the PVAMU GET PHIT Bootcamp where there were 32 students in attendance (23 PVAMU students, 8 UTRGV students, 1 UTHealth Houston SPH student).
