The Executive Director of the University of Texas System UT-Health Intelligence Platform (UT-HIP)) is the primary executive leader, and solely dedicated to the design, development, implementation and successful benefit realization of the UT-HIP.

1. Responsible for the design, development and implementation of programs and technical strategies to successfully deploy the University of Texas System UT-Health Intelligence Platform (UT-HIP).
2. Responsible for building consensus among stakeholders, and ensuring fulfillment of collaborating entities' program obligations.
3. Responsible for directing all program activities, including program administration, communication and reporting.
4. Develops funding models for sustaining the UT-HIP.
5. Manages human resources activities for staff in regards to: recruiting and selection, hiring and termination, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling, performance evaluations, and salary planning.
6. Responsible for the design, execution and effectiveness of a system of internal controls which provides reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets are safeguarded; financial information is reliable and compliant with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in health care, management, informatics, or a related field.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Seven years of executive-level experience in health care program or institutional management.

CERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Knowledge and experience in healthcare information technology, data warehouse development, and business intelligence tools; implementation of projects in complex environments, and excellent communication skills.

SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
