Job Summary:  Performs a variety of advanced and complex clerical tasks to support assigned area. Decisions could impact assigned area.

Additional Summary Specific to Job:
THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION ONLY WORKING 4 1/2 MONTHS, NO BENEFITS.

  • Manage the daily operations of the Academic Affairs office; front desk coverage, receiving visitors, scheduling appointments for Associate Dean and other personnel, provide assistance to current and prospective students, and order office supplies. 
  • Organize and host student events such as graduation ceremonies, poster sessions, meet and greet, and career panel. 
  • Create and maintain student files while ensuring compliance with FERPA regulations. 
  • Assist in preparation, organization and delivery of materials for meetings and events. 
  • Process travel requests and expense reimbursements. 
  • Prepare and submit appropriate forms of payment for reimbursements, recurring bills and buycard purchases. 
  • Create/edit correspondence and other documents for the Associate Dean, including recommendations, acceptance, and disciplinary letters. 
  • Oversee and track Academic Affairs budget and expenses. 
  • Keep minutes and distributes for SBMI committee meetings. 
  • Assist with student enrollment and admissions. 
  • Other duties as assigned.  


REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of five years experience in responsible clerical and/or secretarial positions. Extensive knowledge of university policies and procedures.Knowledge of current financial and/or human resources systems. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Must possess extensive knowledge of windows-based word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software. Must have excellent research and writing skills, effective communication and organization skills, and the ability to prioritize.

SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
