We want to remind all McWilliams Students that the last day to drop a summer 2025 course with a withdrawal grade of "W" is Friday, June 27. As always, the Withdrawal Form must be submitted to process the request. Should you have questions about withdrawing from a course, please contact the Office of Academic Affairs at [email protected]
Effective July 29, The TMC Library will no longer utilize Refworks. Users should migrate their Refworks files to Zotero, Mendeley or an individual Refworks account as soon as possible. If anyone has questions about this change, please visit the FAQ webpage for more details.

In preparation for Fall 2025, the school will host Registration Exploration on Tuesday, July 22 from 4 - 5:30 PM (CDT) via Zoom. We encourage all students to attend and learn more about Fall 2025 courses, get information on degree requirements, and ask any questions they have while regular registration is still open.

The application for the 2026 Christine Mirzayan Science and Technology Policy Graduate Fellowship Program is now open! They are seeking current graduate students or recent graduates who are interested in exploring career options in science policy. A typical candidate is in the final years of their PhD program or has defended their thesis within the past five years, and is excited to spend time in D.C., learn about science policy, and network with science and technology policy experts.
This year's Fellowship will run from March 2 - May 22, 2026. International students already based in the United States are welcome to apply. Especially those with strong interest but limited experience in policy. The application deadline is August 20 at 11:59 PM (ET).
There is an information session on Wednesday, July 16 (2 to 3 PM ET) to explore the program in more detail. If you have any questions about the application or program, please plan to attend.
The Fifth Annual Texas Health Informatics Alliance (THIA) Conference will bring together the Health Informatics community in Texas, provide an opportunity to share, collaborate, showcase the amazing work in Health Informatics, and feature presentations and keynote speakers from our state. This year, it will be hosted as an in-person conference on Friday, September 26, from 8 AM to 3:00 PM CT at The University of Texas Arlington in Arlington.
The motto for the Fifth Annual Texas Health Informatics Alliance Conference is "ALL IN: Practice of Trustworthy and Responsible AI Operations in Health Care." THIA invites researchers, developers, health professionals, information management professionals, data and information scientists, and students to submit abstracts. They welcome contributions addressing both topics outlined by THIA and other relevant topics in the field of general Health Informatics. Abstracts are due by Wednesday, July 9. Abstract submission details are available on the THIA 2025 website.
