CQHII

The Center for Quality Health IT Improvement (CQHII) is a center within the UTHealth School of Biomedical Informatics focusing on quality improvement, data analysis, reporting for state and federal incentive programs, and EHR optimization.

Services we offer:

  • MIPS/MACRA quality data and performance improvement reporting
  • Improved population health management, especially for chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension
  • Audit Assistance
  • Security Risk Analysis with risk mitigation
  • HIPAA Training
  • Patient Engagement including Patient Portal
  • EHR Workflow Evaluation & Redesign

What makes us different?

  • Clinicians, including those in small and rural practices, participating in our MIPS consulting services successfully achieved performance and payment adjustments higher than the national average scores.
  • The CQHII was originally funded by the Office of the National Coordinator to promote the adoption, implementation, and Meaningful Use (MU) of electronic health records (EHRs) in underserved, primary care provider settings.
  • The CQHII has a proven track record of working with Texas clinicians, FQHCs, and small hospitals to improve practice workflows, patient care, and patient safety through the optimized use of EHRs.

Our priority is helping providers fully understand and take advantage of the full benefits of Electronic Health Records. We enable providers to achieve Meaningful Use objectives, minimize financial and administrative burdens, reduce costs associated with medical errors, improve patient safety and quality of care and prepare and position providers for future pay for performance.
