Marjan Madadi is an Associate Professor at the Clinical and Health Informatics Department at McWilliams School of Biomedical Informatics (SBMI) at UTHealth Houston. Dr. Madadi’s primary research interests are 1) stochastic optimization and sequential decision making under uncertainty, 2) machine learning and, and 3) applied probability and statistics.

Dr. Madadi’s technical expertise lies in operations research and statistical modeling. She specializes in disease modeling and the optimization of health outcomes under uncertainty. She has extensive experience in developing statistical and machine learning models to predict patient outcomes and support healthcare decision-making. Her research also involves the development of reinforcement learning tools to optimize healthcare delivery strategies. Additionally, she conducts cost-effectiveness analyses of medical interventions to promote more efficient healthcare delivery. Through these efforts, she contributes to advancing health system performance and reducing disparities in access to care.
