Meera Subash, MD is a joint appointment assistant professor at McWilliams School of Biomedical Informatics at UTHealth Houston, formerly UTHealth Houston School of Biomedical Informatics (SBMI). She is also an assistant professor in the Division of Rheumatology with the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. At McGovern, Dr. Subash serves as the Divisional Quality Officer for the Division of Rheumatology and provides general rheumatology and lupus care at the UT Professional Building and Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Dr. Subash completed her internship and residency at UC San Diego in 2018 followed by a Chief Residency in Quality and Safety at the VA San Diego Healthcare System. Dr. Subash continued onto UC San Francisco to complete both her Rheumatology and Clinical Informatics Fellowships in 2021.

She is Epic Physician Builder Certified and completed her LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt Certification in 2020. Her areas of interest include implementing and evaluating health IT and tools in the EHR to improve patient care in rheumatology and ambulatory care.
