Inspirational Prototypes for EHRs
SHARPC is examining the impact of alternative user interface designs for EHRs.
Projects include:
- MEDICATION RECONCILIATION -- The Twinlist Project focuses on how visual layout and animation can help users see similarities in the lists and rapidly make decisions - with the Twinlist Interface.
- MEDICATION RECONCILIATION -- A second Medication Reconciliation Prototype, MEDREC, was also developed. The reconciliation Algorithm which computes similarity between drugs is freely available at https://github.com/jherskovic/MedRec
- RESULTS MANAGEMENT -- The Result Management Project focuses on methods of display to avoid missing diagnostic results when ordering labs, tests, or referrals.
- REDUCING WRONG PATIENT SELECTION ERRORS --The Wrong Patient Selection Project focuses on interface improvements to reduce the problem of inadvertently picking the wrong patient in an EHR. It demonstrates multiple interface suggestions.
