The SHARPC Programs

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) is funding research to discover how to make Electronic Health Records (EHRs) easier to implement in hospitals across America. The project is divided into four areas, led by the following schools:

  • Focus Area 1: University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (SHARPS)
  • Focus Area 2: University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (SHARPC)
  • Focus Area 3: Harvard University (SMART Platforms)
  • Focus Area 4: Mayo Clinic (SHARPN)
