Informaticians are people who don’t just work data, they solve complex problems which require strong inter-personal skills, an understanding of medical terminology, familiarity with university and federal policy for protection of PHI (protected health information) and PPI (protected personal information). They must also possess an inquiring mind and a desire to serve in advancing medicine in the support of patient care.
